April 14, 2011
The New Jersey Apartment Association (NJAA) has announced its educational lineup which will kick off with a keynote address given by Tiki Barber at the 2011 Annual Conference & Expo. The event, which will celebrate NJAA’s 25th Anniversary and accommodate 200 exhibitor companies and over 1,300 professionals, will be held at the Atlantic City Convention Center from May 23 – 25.
“Education is one of the pillars of our association,” says NJAA Executive Director Jean Maddalon. “We strive each and every day to make sure our members are receiving an ample selection of educational offerings and certification courses. The Conference & Expo provides us with an opportunity to deliver a concentrated educational component to our members as they enjoy their time with their peers.”
Over the course of three days, conference attendees will choose several educational sessions to attend. Following Tiki Barber’s presentation, “Play is Fundamental: How Recreation Makes Individuals, Families and Communities Strong,” session topics will include green practices, tenant and management relationships, getting top-dollar leases, fair housing, safety, the Section 8 Voucher program, leadership, leasing, curb appeal, Section 504 and FHAA compliance, increasing occupancy, evictions, preparing for MORs, apartment health, managing the pace of information in today’s technological age, and REAC inspections.
