Jeff Smith Named New President of the NJAA Charitable Fund

On March 8, 2012, Madison resident, Jeff Smith was named the new president of the New Jersey Apartment Association Charitable Fund for a two-year term (NJAA Charitable Fund). He recently finished a two-year term as the NJAA’s president.
Mr. Smith, who is a partner at Kriegman and Smith, Inc., succeeds Tom Kretsch of Segal and Segal who also became the president for the NJAA’s charitable fund following his term as NJAA president.
“Mr. Smith’s industry knowledge, intelligence and dedication are assets that helped us grow NJAA membership and attendance at events,” said Jean Maddalon, executive director for the NJAA. “We look forward to his contributions to the Charitable Fund which will surely be just as significant.”
The NJAA Charitable Fund was created to provide members with an outlet to give back to their communities through activities including the annual holiday party in December in which members host more than 1,000 children, as well as toy drives to provide gifts to the less fortunate. The fund also has a college scholarship program open to employees and their families as well as residents.
Mr. Smith lives in Madison, NJ with his wife Kate and their four children.
