November 19, 2012
The New Jersey Apartment Association Charitable Fund (NJAA Charitable Fund) is expanding its scholarship program from a total of $6K to $20K in scholarship grants for higher education in the 2013-14 academic year. NJAA employees and members, their dependents, and residents of NJAA member properties are eligible to apply for one of eight $2,500 scholarship grants.
“The NJAA Charitable Fund Scholarship money will help my daughter fulfill her dream of becoming an architect," said Claudia Cazan of MaGrann Associates, an NJAA member since 2001, of her daughter’s 2012 scholarship. “We appreciate NJAA Charitable Fund’s help in getting Julia’s college career off on the right foot.”
“We are delighted to be able to expand our program during an economic time when it’s much more common for organizations to cut funding,” said Jean Maddalon, executive director of the NJAA. This year’s scholarship program will help even more members and residents fulfill their dreams of higher education.”
2013 is the ninth year that the NJAA Charitable Fund has been awarding scholarships to the NJAA community. To date they have granted over $40K to support the educational goals of 28 individuals.
All applications postmarked by February 20, 2013 will be considered and grants will be awarded for the 2013-14 academic year.
