Senate Judiciary Approves Nomination of DCA Commissioner Constable

On June 21, in a rare show of bi-partisans support of a nomination put forward by Governor Chris Christie, the Senate Judiciary Committee voted unanimously in favor of Richard E. Constable III, Esq., of Orange, Essex County, as the Commissioner of the Department of Community Affairs.

Mr Constable has been serving in an acting capacity as Commissioner since December 2011, and addressed attendees at the NJAA's 23rd Annual Conference & Expo in Atlantic City last month.  The Judiciary Committee's approval clears the way for the full State Senate to take-up his nomination before summer recess.

The NJAA looks forward to continuing to work with Commissioner Constable, Gov. Christie, Lt Gov. Guadagno and their entire administration on the key housing, land use and economic development policy issues facing New Jersey.
