Certified Apartment Portfolio Supervisor

Fast track your professional development. Aimed for those who are multi-site supervisors or CAM credential holders, the CAPS curriculum is an in-depth review of property management techniques as used by the professional supervisor. Offered once a year, this consecutive four-day course helps students apply textbook concepts to on-the-job performance, fast-tracking and elevating their professional career.

CAPS Requirements

To earn your CAPS, you must complete the coursework and exam within 12 months of declaring candidacy.

  • Minimum of 24 months of multi-site property management experience or be a CAM, ARM, or RAM credential holder in good standing with 24 months of management experience;
  • Successful completion of five modules;
  • Passing CAPS exam.

About the Exam

The CAPS exam is a 2-part exam delivered over the computer at home, in your office via Live Proctoring or proctored at a CASTLE Worldwide testing site. The CAPS Exam is 4 hours in total, 2 hours for Part I and 2 hours for Part II.

Part I: 100 questions
Part II: 60 questions

Maintaining the CAPS Credential

The CAPS credential requires annual renewal. Submission of both annual CAPS dues of $100 and documentation of six hours of continuing education credit should be submitted to complete the annual CAPS renewal.
