Certified Apartment Supplier

Gain inside apartment industry knowledge. Taught simultaneously with the Certified Apartment Manager (CAM), the CAS offers vendors an opportunity to hear the everyday challenges faced by their apartment manager customers. Earning the CAS credential helps suppliers better position products to the owners and community owners.

The Required Subset of CAS Courses is

  • March 19: Industry Essentials and Financial Management
  • April 17: Legal and Risk Management
  • April 24: Resident Experience (1/2 day)

 

CAS Requirements

To earn your CAS credential, you must complete the coursework and exam within 12 months of declaring candidacy.

  • Must work in the multifamily industry in a supplier partner role;
  • Successful completion of Supplier Success course;
  • Successful completion of CAS modules;
  • Passing CAS exam.

About the Exam

The CAS exam is a computerized exam done at home or in your office. It is 2 long with 138 multiple-choice questions. It is a timed test, where you can skip questions and come back later. You can also check your answers before the clock stops.

Maintaining the CAS Credential

The CAS credential requires annual renewal. Submission of both annual CAS dues of $100 and documentation of three hours of continuing education credit should be submitted to complete the annual CAS renewal.
