Strategies for Compliance with New Jersey’s New “Fair Chance in Housing” Law

This hour and a half on-demand course will guide you through the NEW “Fair Chance in Housing” Law limits and regulates criminal background screening of residential apartment applicants, which took effect on January 1, 2022.

Also known as “Ban the Box” for the apartment industry, the law will require sweeping changes to apartment firms’ rental applications, tenant selection criteria for criminal background, and application processes and procedures. The law also has significant penalties for non-compliance.
