NJAA Charitable Fund’s 14th Annual Holiday Party Entertained and Delighted School Children from Throughout New Jersey

On Mon., Dec. 12th, the New Jersey Apartment Association Charitable Fund (NJAA) transformed the Meadowlands Exposition Center into a winter wonderland filled with thousands of gifts, entertainment and yummy treats for their 14th Annual Children’s Party.

More than 1,000 children from underserved communities across New Jersey enjoyed dancing, face painting, balloon art and a visit with Santa Claus.

Gifts collected from toy drives at many of the more than 600 NJAA member companies were distributed, and more than 400 volunteers from member companies and area high schools helped to ensure that every child had a great time, and a gift they might not otherwise receive this year.

“It warms our hearts every year to see so many happy faces at the party,” said Jean Maddalon, executive director for the NJAA. “We start planning this party in March and look forward to it all year.”

Hartz Mountain Industries of Secaucus generously donated the space, lighting and catering.  Additional sponsors included Sysco, Hatfield, Pepsi, Acadia Windows & Doors, Fieldstone Properties, The Kamson Corporation, Kriegman & Smith, P. Cooper Roofing, Multi-Housing Depot by ARI and Coinmach Corporation.
